It would appear that Wii gamers, jealous of the easy online capabilities offered by the Xbox 360 and the PS3, will be pleased with this news.  Game specific friend codes might be on their way out!  Guitar Hero 5 will be among the first games to use the Wii console codes for online play.  No more entering long codes for each game you want to play online sounds pretty good to us.  Vicarious Visions CEO Karthik Bala gave more details to the folks over at IGN.

Sometimes a relationship keeps people apart. The long distance relationship was always considered difficult, but thanks to modern technology there's no reason to feel apart from your significant other. Our latest co-op couples looks at using co-op gaming, movies and chat to keep connected.

I'm going to go on record right now and say that the Naked Emperor from Fairytale Fights may be the most disturbing and the most awesome character I've seen in video games in quite some time.  There's something psychotic, and yet hilarious, about a naked guy running around with a sword lopping heads off colorful characters.  Perhaps it's the little green leaf hiding his man parts.

Chalk up another causality this holiday season.  Army of Two: The 40th Day has been delayed from it's previous October release date until January 12th, 2010.  It joins a myriad of other titles that have been delayed from a Fall 2009 release to a 2010 release.

The boys at Bohemia Interactive have announced an expansion pack for the four player co-op game ArmA II called Operation Arrowhead.  The expansion is set in the hilly regions of Asia, Arrowhead takes place three years after the events of Chernarus.  There's no other detail regarding new weapons or vehicles, but with a current roster of a few hundred, what's a few dozen more?

I'll be honest, after watching the gameplay footage from the San Diego Comic-Con, I wasn't so sure about Game #3.  It appeared to be geared more towards a versus style of play rather than co-op.  The game has a new trailer though, one that shows a new gameplay mode, and one that restores faith that the game will still have some sort of co-op.

Despite having a brand new gaming laptop, the recently released Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising system requirements scare me.   Not only do they require a dual core processor, they recommend you have a quad core processor.  Thankfully the memory and video card requirements don't seem as steep, but to get something looking as good as the screenshot above - we're thinking it's time to hit up NewEgg and look for some upgrades.

While much has been made about the PC version of Trine's pricing, we can't deny even at full price it's a solid co-op title worth picking up.  But now we can throw that out the window, at least for a week, as Steam currently has the game for 25% off - or $22.49.

Chuck Husemann (Twitter: @FalconGN) of GamingNexus tipped off the global gaming community that this year's Penny Arcade Expo would feature a special guest that we all know and love.

That's right, we're going back to our roots for this month's co-op night!  With all the talk of Halo 3: ODST it's time to get in the Spartan mood with the original Halo 3 and its four player co-op campaign.  Find out how to join us in our monthly Xbox Live Co-Op Night!

It's time once again to play Pimp My Xbox or PS3 with Army of Two: 40th Day digital garb. Xbox Live Marketplace has your premium Army of Two: 40th Day theme ready for downloading, and Playstation Network will have their own theme for this up soon!

Even the bravest of souls should break a sweat when faced with horde after horde of Covenent chieftan, wraiths, and hunters. We have a first hand account of a co-op band of survivors of the vicious Halo 3: ODST Firefight mode, and it's not for the faint of heart.
