As the ArmA II website beefs up with new content -- including gameplay footage -- Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has been delayed from "Summer 2009" to "Fall 2009".

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you a new era of hype.  What we have here is a trailer of a trailer for an upcoming game.  It's sort of like an announcement of an announcement, but with a little more meat.  The trailer of the trailer of Modern Warfare 2 was shown during the NBA Playoffs on TNT, announcing a full trailer coming at a later date.

Despite strong reviews, it appears one of two things may have happened with the latest 50 Cent title to bring on disappointing sales.  

The final song list for next month's Guitar Hero Smash Hits has made it to the internet.  Previously, the songs included from the original Guitar Hero, as well as Guitar Hero 2, had been revealed.  Now, the contributions from GH3, Rocks the 80s, and even a song from the Aerosmith disc are all included.

When someone works for over ten years on the same project, well their portfolio tends to not have a lot in it.  With all of 3D Realms let go with the studio's closure, there are plenty of artists looking for a job now, and most of them have a portfolio filled with Duke Nukem Forever goodies.

Be warned, readers.  I am torn about whether or not I should even write this article.  I like to tie in my weekly columns with new game releases, or movies, as you may have noticed.  Digging through the Co-Optimus database, only the new D-A-C game and an older Trek game I hadn't played turned up.  Since I prefer to have actually played the games I write about, I had to look elsewhere.  Imagine my surprise when I rediscovered an arcade lightgun shooter based on Star Trek Voyager after a quick Google search.  I had totally forgotten I had ever played it, which didn't bode well.  Perhaps it was not the best choice for Co-Op Classics, perhaps, but hey, sometimes you just have to boldly go. 

Officially unveiling a rumored title to Entertainment Weekly, Krome Studios and LucasArts are showing the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 some Clone Wars love with Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes this September 15th.

PlayStation 3 and PC owners will be treated later this year to a truly unique title coming from developer Frozenbyte.  The game is called Trine, and its a fantasy based puzzle platformer.  All the puzzles in the game rely on real work physics.  Players take control of three characters: the wizard, the thief and the warrior.
