Mouldy Toof and Team17 are getting into the Christmas spirit by releasing some new DLC for The Escapists 2 by putting you into a Christmas-themed prison from which you must escape. It also looks like you and your fellow inmates have to wear some elf hats and make things... Hmm....
While Vermintide 2 may soon be on its way, the developers at Fatshark are still getting some new content out for the original, Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. The "Death on the Reik" DLC dropped last week and, similar to previous DLC offerings, adds a couple new levels and a new melee weapon, in addition to some new achievements.
It's one of those rare weekends when the Co-Opticrew has an almost fully unique set of gaming plans. However, while we aren't necessarily playing the same games, there seems to be a common theme: projectile weaponry. Sometimes they're future guns and sometimes they're Nazi-shootin' guns, but whatever the case, they're being used to tackle whatever stands between us and sweet, virtual victory.
In a recent announcement video, Cellar Door Games, the team that created 2013’s incredibly fun (although sadly single-player only) Rogue Legacy, spilled the beans that their newest project Full Metal Furies, will be coming to Xbox One and PC January 17, 2018.
It's that special time of year again where we want to give back to the Co-Optimus community. This is our third year running our Holiday Scratch-Off contest, but our scratch off cards don't have those messy silver filings. This year we have almost 200 keys to giveaway for games across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and more.
If you're looking to pick up some quality/interesting co-op games, then you might want to head over to GOG.com and check out their Winter Sale. We teamed up with the digital distributor to put together a selection of co-op titles that are available at a discount (some up 80% off!) until December 26, 2017.
What do the films It, Alien, Jurassic Park and Frankenstein all have in common? They’re all featured in the upcoming game Epic Loon from Macrales Studio, a small indie team devoted to diving back into classic movies and letting you take friends with you. In an interview from GamesCom, the team unpacked the direction for where their project is headed, as well as mentioning that, even though only four movies will make up the foundation for the game itself, there will be winks and nods to other popular movies.
Starting today and ending sometime early next month, you and your crew of elite Ghosts can face off against the deadliest hunter of all: the Predator. Ubisoft has added the iconic alien to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands today as a free special event, and if you manage to bring down the galaxy's deadliest hunter (until the xenomorphs from "Aliens" get added, that is), you'll earn some special gear.
I'm sort of out of words for how stunned/impressed I am by THQ Nordic these days. After releasing new DLC for Titan Quest (an 11-year-old game) a few weeks ago, the developer/publisher told THEMSELVES "hold my beer" and announced yesterday that they'll be bringing the action-RPG to consoles in March 2018. Not only that, but they're releasing a Collector's Edition of it, too! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt??!
In March of last year, n-Space, the developer behind Sword Coast Legends, was shut down. The game, though, continued on and even got released on consoles a few months later. Presumably, it was the publisher, Digital Extremes that keep things going. Now, though, it seems that that particular publishing contract has expired and so, on December 31, the title will be removed from all digital store fronts.
OVERKILL has been rather tight-lipped on their forthcoming co-op FPS title, The Walking Dead. In fact until recently, all we knew about the game was that it involved zombies and supported some kind of co-op, but no idea how many players or if it was just "PAYDAY with zombies" or what. On Monday, the Swedish developer shed a little bit of light on it all.
Frozenbytes' Nine Parchments arrived on PC and the Nintendo Switch last week, so this past Monday Nick, Locke, Jason, and Mike teamed up to check out this spell-slinging adventure, and see how exactly it differs from Paradox's Magicka.
