It's been a harrowing week for Chester McSlappy and the Southend Crew. Shrimpers Forever continues to dominate the airwaves, 8:00 EST every Tuesday and every Thursday, right here on Co-Optimus.com. We continue to have a blast highlighting the thrills and losses in co-op manager mode for FIFA 15. Thanks so much to everybody who came to hang out with Enoch and myself in our eternal quest to bring Southend United from the pits of League 2 all the way to the top of the Premier league.
Let's face it, you've always wanted to go to E3. The warm glow of the LCD screens, the glitz and glamour of hundreds of the latest games, and rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in the industry. Now's your chance. Today we are giving away THREE SETS of passes to E3 2015 in Los Angeles on June 16th through June 18th.
Last week, Hellraid developer Techland issued a blog post lamenting that their dark fantasy hack and slash game failed to meet expectations and its development was placed on hold. Resources were to be redirected to post-launch support for Dying Light, a game we liked quite a bit. That blog post, and the Hellraid official website, have since been scotched.
As is to be expected from a living online multiplayer game, Warframe has been receiving frequent updates from developer Digital Extremes. In fact, you could argue that it is largely indistinguishable from the state it launched in over two years ago, and the changes are largely for the better. Not one to rest on their laurels, though, the Canadian developer has pushed out yet another update, this time titled "The Tubemen of Regor".
Has it really been over a year since we announced Don't Starve was getting a co-op mode to be implemented that summer? The seasons have turned and here we are in June of the following year, with Don't Starve Together still locked into Steam's Early Access program since it initially debuted on June 15th. However, good news to everyone who's been a fan of the procedurally generated sandbox survival game but doesn't want to throw money at a product still in development! Provided you owned Don't Starve prior to June 3rd, you already have the co-op expansion. That's right; it's yours. You don't even have to do anything!
Typically, I'd introduce this article by saying something about how ogres are a misunderstood race. "Really, they're peaceful creatures. They just want to defend their own territory," I'd say. "We just need to try better to understand them," and so on and so forth. You know what, though? After watching today's Fable Legends dev diary, I got no sympathy for those lumbering cretins.
The world just has too few mech battlers these days, with fewer still existing on the current generation of consoles. If you've had a hankering to crush puny ground troops (and also other mechs) with your pulsing, mechanical fists, then you could do plenty worse than the action/strategy experience in AirMech Arena. For example, you could play Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor, otherwise known as Claw Your Own Eyes Out 2K15.
Rainbow Six Siege is looking like a great addition to Tom Clancy's legacy and we have already seen how the Brits put pay to the terrorists, but what happens when the FBI take time out from arresting football bureaucrats and get their hands dirty? This new FBI SWAT trailer for the game will reveal all.
All of the 80's sci-fi cheese is here with an upcoming top-down shooter title, Space Sluggers. We've received a new trailer detailing some new content, including a robotic character (not you, Billy).
Last year Gearbox teased their new IP, Battleborn, a game that looked poised to potentially be some kind of FPS MOBA. Or, to put that another way, an "FPS; hobby-grade coop campaign; genre-blended, multi-mode competitive e-sports; meta-growth, choice epic". Yeah... We got a little more info on that "coop campaign" last fall and today, just prior to all of the E3 madness, Gearbox and 2K are pulling back a little more of the curtain.
LEGO Dimensions is the biggest LEGO crossover to date in a video game, allowing players to mix and match multiple properties than ever before. Previously, we've only had some speculation as to some of the different LEGO lines would be featured in this game. Now, we have a total of 14 confirmed!
