Bloodborne is a game that asks a lot of its players. While not a sequel to any of From Software's other Souls games, it most definitely belongs in the series; and though it has some shortcomings, it might be my favorite one yet....
German indie developer Orlyapps will make its Steam debut later this month with Commander Cool 2, a throwback platformer featuring a local co-op mode.
We recently dug in with the beta version of Killing Floor 2 on Steam immersing ourselves in the six player co-op shooter and all it has to offer. We streamed our exploits with relatively newbie Nick (sorry for the damn keyboard clicking) and veteran Taylor (sorry you can barely hear him).
Games for Windows Live might not be the best service on the planet, but it did provide gamers with opportunities to do some neat co-op stuff. In this case, unfortunately, we learned recently that Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition on Steamworks will not support its split screen co-op mod previously available on Games For Windows Live.
The other night we dove back into Evolve for some good ol' four players versus the AI action. With the recent release of the new DLC we wanted to check out our four new hunters and what they bring to the table.
There's something to be said about the consistency of the name The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III. The other two games were simply The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, so that makes sense. However, I've got to applaud NeocoreGames for not succumbing to the use of the subtitle, mostly because I get confused easily. There's no need to do away with numerals and slap on :Wrath of the The Vampire Puncher or :Dance Away the Darkness. Just go with numbers, people. It's how we count.
During the 1920's, coming by alcohol legally was difficult enough, let alone trying to fight off hordes of zombified creatures. Epic indie title Guns, Gore & Cannoli has finally received an official release date for Steam/Mac and will be available very soon!
A modest update has rolled out for Warlocks Vs. Shadows, the pixelated action RPG/brawler currently in Early Access. Not only does the update add a new world (Frozen Lake) and a new character (Jamal, the Troll Warlord), but it also makes some significant tweaks to the game.
Developer bitHuffel has released its minimalist twin-stick bullet hell shooter Zenzizenzic via Early Access, introducing Steam users to a stark world filled with awe-inspiring geometric death.
That's right, gang! The sequel to 2009's Killing Floor is right on our zombie guts-laden doorstep. As long as you don't mind fooling around with unfinished products, you can jump right into Killing Floor 2 on April 21st via Steam's Early Access program.
Bloodborne has been out for a bit now and we’ve been hard at work preparing a co-op review. Those of us on staff who have been playing have racked up over 100 hours of playtime (probably more), but there’s still more to discover. Here are some answers to common questions we were asking each other while playing through the game. Let us know if you have any others in the comments and we'll do our best to answer!
Hey guys, whatcha playing? A couple of us are taking a break from Bloodborne and diving back into Spelunky this weekend. The torture never stops.
