Were you alive during the '80s? That's the 1980s, for anyone who's about to get all pedantic. You probably remember two world leaders who had something of a rivalry going on: Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. It took a few decades, but someone finally found a way for those two rapscallions to get along. Lucky for us it's a top-down arcade game and not some boring political whatever!
It's been ten long years since we first started hacking Japanese rebels to bits in the first Samurai Warriors. Celebrating this decade of warfare in feudal Nippon is Samurai Warriors 4, out now for the PS3, PS4, and PSVita. The Warriors games are some of the most polarizing in the industry, with die-hard fans extolling their virtues and critics decrying their faults. We've already gotten one dose this year with Hyrule Warriors, but if you're itching for superhuman feats of murder and happen to limit yourself to Sony platforms, Samurai Warriors 4 is here for you.
What type of boss are you? Do you lead from the front, or let others do the work for you? TBH it don't matter none as you can be completely different when playing Dragon Age Inquisition. The new trailer shows what it is to be a leader. If you are interested - I am the world's greatest boss (I have a mug to prove it).
Namco Bandai is pleased to announced that Games for Windows Live users will soon be able to move their Dark Souls: Prepare to Die titles, game saves, as well as any unlocked achievements over to Steam! If you're a Dark Souls fan and want to be amongst thousands of gamers via the Steam platform, here's your chance to migrate over.
Playstation Network has started up a two-week-long sale on spooky games and movies as befits this time of the year. Each week will have a slew of Halloween-esque sales: up to 65% off for everyone, and up to 80% off for PS Plus members. And the good news is that there's a healthy dose of co-op games included in the sale!
We've got some good news for folks looking forward to Sunset Overdrive, the upcoming open world game from Insomniac Games for Xbox One. The game is launching next week, which means it's time for the inevitable "launch trailer." Along side of that moving eye candy we have some news about checking out the game's eight player co-op mode.
Finally, a game where you can give blatant ripoffs of 80's horror movie villains a piece of your mind. Devil's Dare is now out on Steam, with plenty of beat'em'up mayhem for you and three buddies. We talked to Developer Secret Base last week about balancing a game for multiplayer, and now you can see for yourself if their theories hold up.
Meet Toggle. He's big and heavy. He's small and agile. He's kind of a sackboy version of that scary purple thing McDonald's used to use in their commercials. And he's also the newest character unveiled for LittleBigPlanet 3.
We're down a man this week as Mike is recovering from a gentle surgery. No worries we have plenty to discuss including the latest on Destiny, Evolve, Far Cry 4, and more. After that we chat about whether or not we're tired of the media overload from the games industry. We also apologize to Bill The Pony, we did not mean to offend thee.
As if trying out outlast a zombie apocalypse wasn't a good indication that Dying Light was designed to be played cooperatively, Techland will be providing a small incentive to bring four along for the ride. Those of us that have been looking forward to the game's release should be thrilled to know that there's a pre-purchase promotion going on now to compliment co-op perfectly.
Humble Bundle has put together a bundle of games and other goodies, and, as usual, is letting you pay what you want. A portion of your sale goes directly to Extra Life, a charity Co-Optimus has actively participated in for the past two years. Extra Life is a 24 gaming marathon that raises money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, who care for sick kids and premies.
Bayonetta 2, the guilty pleasure we love to indulge ourselves in but rarely discuss in polite company. The combat-slurry sequel is on its way to Wii U, and it's bringing with it a surprisingly appropriate Nintendo-themed bonus that's somehow even more mesmerizing than we thought it would be.
