It's hard to talk about Resogun as a "launch title" and not mention Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved on the Xbox 360. For many that was the killer app for Microsoft's console for quite some time. Resogun might be in the same boat for the PlayStation 4....
Anybody who was a fan of the old Panzer Dragoon games must have been tickled pink by the unveiling of its spiritual successor, Crimson Dragon, at the Tokyo Game Show in 2011. The project suffered some delays, a console shift from the 360 to the Xbox One, and dropping the dreaded Kinect Requirement, before it was ready to let us take to the skies on November 22nd. There is something of a catch, however.
You got your hands on a PlayStation 4, you lucky person! Is it working (chances are that it was ok)? Great! Did you pick up Call of Duty: Ghosts, but found that the game was a little glitchy in places? Well, good news all round then, as a new patch is out for the PS4 version of the game. Details follow.
The second of the small, but satisfying Headhunter packs will be here soon, according to Gearbox. Just like for Halloween, Pandora will also have its own rendition of Thanksgiving via the latest Borderlands 2 DLC, “Horrible Hunger of the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler”.
It's here! It's here! It's shiny and black and it glows blue. It's so pretty! The PlayStation 4 has finally launched and Nick and Jason are here to tell you all about their experience with Sony's console. Don't worry there's plenty of talk about Dark Souls 2 and some PC games...but...but...PlayStation 4!
DungeonLand was a nifty little action game that came out on PC earlier this year. Featuring three player co-op with players jumping into the shoes of different characters, you'd fight through twisted amusement parks in a hilariously gory style of game that resembled the classic Gauntlet series. Our biggest gripe with the game was the often punishing difficulty combined with some networking issues which have since been fixed.
Things are heating up in the video game industry as the final contestant of this generation is ready to launch this Friday. A handful of titles drops alongside Microsoft's next console and they want to make sure you are pumped up for launch day. Among the launch games is Dead Rising 3, the newest iteration in Capcom's co-op zombie murder franchise that we happen to have a trailer for.
It's already common knowledge that pre-ordering Destiny gets you into the beta weeks before the official launch. Bungie confirmed those who pre-order the game on the Playstation 3 or 4 will receive beta access before those who exclusively own Microsoft consoles. While this might not make consoles fly off the shelves, it is a nice treat for any Sony households interested in four player co-op.
Hello strangers and welcome to one of the biggest mash ups the 360 has ever seen. Don't believe me? Minecraft 360 has sold more copies than whiskers on my cat o' nine tails and Skyrim is considered one of the best games of this generation. Together they become Minecraft Skyrim Edition, out today.
Despite the OUYA’s shortcomings, it does have it’s own share of gems to be admired. Take for instance the title, TowerFall, an acclaimed app that will soon be making its way onto the PS4 and PC.
We’re only a few days away from the launch of the Xbox One, and we couldn’t be more excited! A handful of co-op titles are about to hit the scene, Ryse: Son of Rome being one of them, so we found a newly released trailer to keep us pumped for the system’s launch.
Halo: Spartan Assault is headed to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One this December, but it looks like we've got an early glimpse of what "arcade" titles will offer on Microsoft's new console. The biggest change is that Xbox Live Arcade titles will offer a full 1000 GamerScore on the Xbox One, something the Xbox 360 was limiting between 200GS to 500GS per title.
