DOTA 2 is getting its biggest update since coming out of beta today. Dubbed "First Blood" the update contains gameplay, UI, graphical, and several other enhancements - including an offline mode for LAN play. Last night, the usual podcasting Co-Opticrew (minus one) streamed some of our playtime in the upcoming sci-fi platformer rogue-life, Risk of Rain. Mike and I fought through three of the game's levels, even braving it long enough to reach "Impossible" difficulty (which is just as hard as the name implies), while Nick did his best to keep up with us. Fun times were had by all and we've capture these precious moments for you to enjoy.
Sure there might be another open world game out you've been seeing dominating your friends list, but there's a problem. There's no way to play co-op in Grand Theft Auto V...yet. There's a bigger problem too, GTA doesn't have awesome super powers or a dubstep gun. It's sort of a no contest really. Would you rather play tennis and hanglide or shoot some fools with sick beats while flying like Superman. A bunch of staff are going to be streaming Risk of Rain Beta this Sunday night, an indie rogue league co-op platformer shooter thingy game-a-ma-jig. Yeah, that's the official genre. So be sure to check that out. There's a good variety of games otherwise being played by the staff, here's what's going down.
Sony has officially announced the details of their next gen trade in program. Originally talked to at Gamescom 2012, Sony will provide a way for gamers to easily upgrade to digital versions of select PlayStation 4 games for a discounted price of $9.99 when they purchase the PS3 versions. Four of the most anticipated titles fill the list of e...
A North American release for Tales of Xillia 2 was announced earlier today at the Tokyo Game show for sometime in 2014. Tales of Xillia 2 launched November of 2012 in Japan and though critically well received, sold a modest half million copies. Such an underwhelming performance in sales may have led to publisher Namco Bandai to delay publishing the title on this side of the pond. Co-op JRPGs are something of a rarity so any opportunity to play through compelling character arcs with friends is always a welcome event.
