The staff are all doing their own thing this weekend, with a good variety of games on the table across all platforms.

Ska Studios is known for their slick art style, dark tones, and violent gameplay with the likes of The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile and The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. Their newest game, Charlie Murder, continues the tradition - bringing a side scrolling four player co-op beat em' up to Xbox Live Arcade on August 14th.  

The Nintendo 3DS EShop is getting a several 3D remakes of classic Sega games. We've already seen a 3D Altered Beast coming, but another classic co-op franchise in the works is 3D Streets of Rage. While all the 3D Classic Sega games are coming to Japan on August 21st, there are plans to bring them to the West shortly after.

The three words every young gamer dreams about hearing: sci-fi, space, exploration. And Hadron's Forge has them all!

I haven't read much about Earth Defense Force 2025 lately, so I decided to take a brief trip to the game's Japanese website. I was not disappointed.

The four player heist simulator will let us embrace our inner criminal, allowing players to embark on a number of illegal ventures. Many of you may already be playing the closed beta. I know several members of the Co-Optimus staff have been enjoying their time with the game. 

ibb and obb is one of the best co-op puzzle games of the last few years. It looks innocent and sounds a bit frightening, but once you sit down to play it with a friend, you, too, shall be hooked....

Remember all the hub-bub about the Xbox One not coming with a headset? Remember how they also said it wouldn't work with current headsets? Just like Microsoft reversed its decision to support older headsets with an adapter, it appears it has reversed its decision on including a headset. Today Xbox Live's Major Nelson has unboxed the Xbox One console revealing several goodies inside, including a headset.

Indie developer ManyHat has released Transphoria, a first person shooter/survival game that supports two player co-op. Moody lighting, scary creatures, lots of guns, and it's free!

When we reviewed Scourge: Outbreak, we felt it was missing something. As a game from a small studio with big ambitions, gameplay just felt flat and disconnected. We weren't alone in our concerns for the game and thankfully developer Tragnarion Studios is listening to feedback. A patch is scheduled soon with numerous updates, including some pretty major ones for co-op gamers.
