Demigod launched last month for the PC, and since that time the gaming experience hasn't been very pleasant for players. The game was plagued with a broken street date which caused a cataclysm of problems including busted servers, and overload of pirates (the illegal kind, not the yarr kind), and a host of other issues.
Boom Blox Bash Party is coming your way today. The sequel to last year's creative puzzle waggler will include a greater focus on multiplayer. That's a nice addtion for fans of co-op! Exclusive to the Wii, the game is value priced, retailing for a reasonable $40. Remember that you can get the game at Amazon and support Co-Optimus at the same time. It's even on sale, for 10% off. Let the bashing begin!
In this installment of The Co-Opticast, we discuss what we've been playing (hint: Hugh Jackman is a hunk), the lack of Campaign co-op in Modern Warfare 2 (with bonus comedy), the fall of 3D Realms, which may or may not actually be a fall, what we think about the state of Rhythm Action (music) games, and what our ideal co-op titles would be. We're less than a month away from the Ghostbusters video game. Pretty soon we'll be side by side with our buddy, proton pack to proton pack, crossing streams like a champion in the game's online cooperative mode. Or, perhaps if you are a Wii owner, you'll be playing through the game's campaign mode in local co-op.

We've been following the 3D Realms saga for a few weeks now, and it appears things have just taken an unexpected turn. Contrary to what was reported, even on their own website, 3D Realms is not shut down - but rather the entire Duke Nukem Forever team was let go.
This week on Xbox Live Arcade we have what looks to be a unique co-op puzzle game called Gel: Set & Match. The game is from Gastronaut Studios, the same folks who made Small Arms, and is a successor to their Xbox 1 title called Fuzzee Fever.
David Jaffe thinks that zombie games are -- for the most part -- "played out". His mini-rant on Twitter inspired The Enquirer of gaming blogs to ask the question: have we had enough?
Hot on the heels of, well, pretty much every other Guitar Hero release, comes news of Guitar Hero 5. The game was announced, to no one's surprise, just over a week ago and now we have the first details, including a couple screenshots showing off the new art style, and even some of the artists featured on the soundtrack.
It seems like all we do is post "deals" lately, but I guess in these tough economic times a lot of folks are interested in them. That being said you can get yourself a solid co-op game for half price this week on both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in Bionic Commando: Rearmed. The game normally runs $10, or 800 but is on special for $4.99 or 400 .
