XSeed Games has announced a new three player cooperative title for the DS called Raganarok Online DS. If the name sounds familiar, it's because there's a PC MMO of the same name, minus the DS of course.
This month's Games for Windows Co-Op Night we go back to one of our favorites. Dawn of War 2 from developer Relic is an Action/RTS that puts players in the role of gritty space marines as they take on three different aliens in an epic battle for survival. The entire campaign is playable in co-op - and we have the perfect night to meet up with friends to do just that.
Fans of co-op light gun shooters might want to take notice of a deal going on at Amazon right now. They have the recently released, and well reviewed, House of the Dead Overkill for $29.98 - which is $20 off the normal price.
The Steam deal this weekend is a good one for co-op fans. Call of Duty World at War is on sale for 50% off the regular price, and will just set you back $24.99 until May 18th. Adding to the value, the first map pack is included, featuring the co-op zombie slaying mode "Verruckt".
In lieu of Co-Op Casual Fridays today, we bring you another installment of Billy's Soapbox. This article focuses on two co-op and casual friendly games: Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
Some might enjoy the weather, others might enjoy the games, perhaps we could enjoy both.
Honestly we couldn't have timed our Crackdown review any better. Today Microsoft has released a premium NXE theme for Crackdown called "Play More Crackdown."
The Dynasty Warriors Gundam series is quite interesting. Obviously, Gundam is a nice game friendly franchise, with giant robots (not really giant robots, but still, GIANT ROBOT-LIKE SUITS, awesome) and lots of drama. Dynasty Warriors is one of the longest running co-op friendly series. The two meet and much fun can be had; I've enjoyed playing the first Dynasty Warriors Gundam over the past few weeks.
They may try to move quietly, and the monster might be "pretty small" but I'd still bring some heavy weapons. Perhaps it's the giant glowing eyes 25 feet in the air that does it to me, but I think they are going to need more than some rope.
Fans of the Raiden series of SHMUPs will be happy to know that the latest compilation called Raiden Fighter Aces has been released on the Xbox 360. The set contains all three Raiden Fighter Aces games for $19.99. Not content with just a straight two player co-op shooter, Valcon games has added some features.
To do something a little different here at Co-Optimus, we decided to go back and review one of our favorite co-op games. We have two perspectives for you too. Jim is a newcomer to Crackdown, having never played it. Nick on the other hand gives his perspective after two years with the game. Does it stand the test of time? Is it still a game for newcomers? Find out in our review.
