Blessings came aplenty for Tom Clancy fans this E3. Not only did we find out that Ghost Recon Wildlands will be gracing us with its presence on March 7, 2017, but we also got more than a few tastes of what exactly that grace entails.
We now live in a world where "White Haired 20-Something Punk Guy Battles Colossal Monsters and Cracks Wise Far, Far Too Much" is officially a genre. With Scalebound's new trailer at Microsoft's conference this year, the WH2SPGBCMCWFFTM ropes four player co-op into the fold at long last. It also made me realize there is a very thin line between having a chatty main character and having a main character who just seems annoyed to be there.
From the streets of Willamette, to Trumbull County, seems like zombies are a problem everywhere you go these days. Perhaps my favorite zombie action game of the past few years, State of Decay, is getting a sequel and it's adding the one feature it needed most: co-op gameplay.
A photojournalist's work is never done. 10 years after the original title was released, Frank West is returning to kick some zombie butt in Dead Rising 4. The game was officially revealed/announced during Microsoft's E3 press conference today, and the little bit of info we got afterwards sounds promising for co-op.
We've been giving Friday the 13th a lot of coverage lately. Maybe it's because we really enjoy the idea of playing a group of terrified campers who just want to head home with all their arms and legs intact. Maybe it's because we're afraid that if we miss any news, Jason will come directly to our respective homes and, well... do his thing.
E3 2016 is in full force, and with it comes all kinds of co-op gaming announcements. During the first conference of the day, Microsoft briefly showed off a glimpse of The Division's "Underground" DLC, which will be available for Xbox One on June 28th. Due to Ubisoft's exclusivity deal, the DLC won't hit for PlayStation 4 and PC users until a solid month later.
Summer’s officially here. We all know what that means: sun, heat, and MMO expansions. For this installment of MMO Co-Opportunities, we’ll be looking at upcoming expansions for Lineage II and Star Trek Online and discuss Wildstar’s launch on Steam....
Please stay behind the yellow line. The drama train is pulling into the station. Sven, a co-op mod for the original Half-Life, has been around for just under two decades. Earlier this year the much beloved mod got a free standalone release, an act that, as it turns out, would bring to light controversies building between the community and the development team.
EA's EA Play press conference has come and gone, and really there wasn't much in terms of surprises. That said we've got a handful of trailers from some AAA games including Mass Effect: Andromeda, Battlefield 1, and TitanFall 2. That's the good news.
E3 2016 officially kicks off today at 4PM Eastern with the EA press conference. EA technically isn't AT E3 this year, instead they are hosting their own event off site called EA Play. We'll be following all of the press conferences on the site and be posting the biggest news out of each. We'll likely host live streams of the conferences when we can right on the front page - so be sure to check back!
Good afternoon, everyone. I've brought you here today to discuss a topic very near and dear to our hearts: E3 Hype Safety. Now, I know last year was particularly bad - we lost 22 men and women to incorrect hype protocols, and that's not even counting the Last Guardian debacle - but let's bounce back this year and prove that we're not the most easily hyped demographic in all of human history. With that in mind, I've got a few extra tips for those of you eagerly awaiting Sunday's conferences:
Though developer Bungie has a livestream later today in which they'll detail the content in greater depth, an early (and accidental) listing on the Xbox Marketplace yesterday gave up the goods for Rise of Iron, the next expansion for Destiny.
