2015 looks to be the first solid year in a while for co-op gamers. The Xbox One and PS4 have hit their stride and the PC continues to excel. There’s a few big games on the horizon with a strong focus on those platforms, sadly, leaving being the Xbox 360 and PS3 era. We’ve got both new IPs and old favorites making a return. Let’s d...
Behold, your Xbox 360 is not going to collect dust. There's a new co-op game coming next month that's available exclusively for the platform. Spongebob Hero Pants is the movie tie in to The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and it looks friggin' great if you're a fan of the series.
Out for a little light arcade dungeoning one evening, are you? Well, if you've got friends, we have bad news to share. They're out to get you. And they have teeth and claws and traps and stuff to help them do it.
You say potato, I say Toukiden Kiwami. This may not be the easiest game to pronounce, but it is made by the people behind the Dynasty Warrior franchise and for fans of strategic mash-em-ups that can be no bad thing. Those with long memories may remember the Vita version of the game, but as of March 27th 2015, it will also be available on PlayStation 4. A new mission trailer and pre-order info have been released to whet your appetite.
In a few short months, the second Destiny DLC since launch, House of Wolves, will be arriving on consoles. If you've stuck around until now, Bungie hopes to reconfigure some of the ways players gain and equip loot for the better.
Just weeks ago, baseball was a source of very little entertainment for me. It was too slow-paced. There were too many games to keep up with. Plus, Cracker Jack toys are super lame. But that was all before I saw the light. That was before I knew the truth. That was before I played Super Mega Baseball....
Remember that time Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel were announced for next-gen consoles? Good times, good times. On the heels of that news bite, Gearbox has pushed out a notice about the third add-on pack for The Pre-Sequel: Lady Hammerlock!
There's no shortage of outlets if you want to get a Saints Row fix these days. Last weekend brought a nice free weekend for Saints Row IV, and now Bundle Stars has a cheap bundle with Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third, complete with 17 pieces of DLC!
The Co-Op Release Alert is back, as we finally have our first big co-op release of the year. Sure Saints Row got a mini-stand-alone expansion, but this is our first full fledged release! On tap is the first of many games that were delayed from their original Fall 2014 release for that extra bit of spit polish.
We know that many players are eager to play Rockstar's smash hit, Grand Theft Auto V soon on their PC's, arriving this March 24th. To get a head start in your upcoming thug life, Rockstar is offering many pre-order bonuses that mirror what the current gen consoles received late last year.
PC Fable fans without access to an Xbox One can finally stash those tear stained handkerchiefs and commence training for next-gen chicken chasing. Fable Legends has been formally announced for PCs running Windows 10, with "the game due to launch on both platforms at the same time." Even stranger than a simultaneous PC release for a traditionally Xbox only franchise is the implementation of cross-platform play. You and your friends can mix up a big heap of PC's and Xbox One versions and still play together whenever you'd like. To me, that sounds like the future.
It seems everyone is playing something different this weekend, with many of the Fall's solid co-op games on their slate. That said we're slowly seeing a trickle of this coming spring's titles on our staff's preview cards.
