Ubisoft and Ivory Tower's open world racing game The Crew is about to enter a new closed beta phase. From Nov 6 -10, Xbox One and PS4 owners can get their hands on the wheel for some cross-country co-op racing!
It feels like it's been a while since the folks at Blizzard have been this generous, but if you're itching to dive back into some Diablo 3 this weekend on PC you'll be rewarded with 100% bonus to both XP and Gold Find across all of your characters. As with previous buffs, the bonuses will stack with existing in-game bonuses, including those provided by items, shrines, Pools of Reflection, and Paragon points.
If you completely forgot this game was coming out, don't worry, you're not the only one. Freedom Wars just sort of appeared this October in North America and Europe, launching its multiplayer and co-op combat gameplay just for PS Vita. With any luck, everyone will start paying attention to it now, as it looks fantastic.
Everyone's favorite top-down, Mars-based, tactical shooter, The Red Solstice, is back in business with a massive new update called, "The Horrors of Mars." These horrors include two brand new bosses for you to watch in sheer terror as they pulverize your only companions on that lonely red planet. Along with a myriad of gameplay and performance improvements, Ironward Studios has overhauled the tutorial system to make it a bit easier for new players to figure out why exactly that alien made their insides their outsides.
The gaming community just got word on a ton of exclusive content coming to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V! Veteran players will have more than enough to look forward to, especially if they plan on moving characters over from last gen to current gen.
There are several common themes that we see over and over again in tabletop board gaming. Fictional genres like fantasy and science-fiction are typically very well represented, as are historical games set during times of war. Every once in a while, though, a game comes along with a totally unique theme. The co-op board game we are looking at today ...
Lately we've been enjoying plenty of video content for Assassin's Creed Unity, mostly in the form of Dev Diaries and Q&A. We've seen very little in the way of extended gameplay footage, almost since the big E3 reveal. The age of ignorance ends today, however, with a trailer featuring three minutes of gameplay. The unfortunate side of this story is that Ubisoft's UK studio was not content at supplying the masses with actual gameplay, and has tainted the whole process with the inclusion of some "hilarious" celebrity impersonations.
Another stake in the heart for last-gen systems. Or, you know, some zombie-appropriate metaphor like a knife to the brain or something. Techland recently announced its zombie shooter Dying Light will not see a release on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. Time to upgrade!
Everybody gets a loot cave these days! Bayonetta 2 launched recently in North America for Wii U, and already somebody's found a way to hax the loot system. Three million halos in under six minutes, to be exact, which is some serious, serious looting.
I remember a time before seasonal releases of Call of Duty games. It was a time of diversity, a time when every other game was not a FPS. However, that time has gone, perhaps shot dead during a multiplayer session on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. We will never know the fate of these golden days, but with this trailer, we will know the contents of CoD 2014's Season Pass.
The best news this summer was that Dragon Age: Inquisition would include a co-op mode similar to that of Mass Effect 3 from years past. Fans of the surprising depth to the multiplayer portion of ME3 should be excited for the upcoming title.
The most surprising thing about Dead Island 2 isn't the scenic Californian setting, or the up-beat soundtrack, or even the wacky tone in contrast to the first game's solemn feel. Learning DI2 features eight player co-op, though? That's pretty weird. I don't know even one other person that would willingly vault into a zombie-infested sector of the West Coast, let alone seven.
