I am fully aware that Defense Grid 2 appeared on digital shelves last week, and that we've already reviewed it. But how often do we get to talk about co-op tower defense games? Let's see what former-human-turned-AI Fletcher has to say about Hidden Path's fresh new title.
By now the origins of the Skylander series are being lost in the mists of time, but before there was Skylanders Trap Team there was a plucky young dragon called Sypro who starred in his own adventures. Now his doppelganger is one of many characters you can play as and the new trailer for the highlights why he is still awesome.
A few days ago, players found an in-game glitch that revealed some of the upcoming DLC content for Destiny, "The Dark Below" and "House of Wolves". Bungie later confirmed the content was indeed real and that it's a work in progress.
Remember Gauntlet? No, not the forgettable last one, or those ones you played in the late 90’s. I’m talking about the Gauntlet you played in the arcade and poured quarters into because it incessantly told you that ‘Wizard needs food badly’. The 2014 Gauntlet is a remake of the 1980’s classic, blending the old school ga...
There is nothing quite like the thump, thump, thump noise of helicopter blades in a computer game. They invariably mean that you are about to have incoming enemy fire, or blessed support. Both will be enabled in ArmA 3 from November 4th when the 2nd Premium DLC is released.
Pop Cap Games announced that Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare will be receiving yet another free DLC pack tomorrow. Coming as a update to all platforms, "Legend of the Lawn" will feature an all new game mode, as well as a bunch of new character customizations and variants.
Last night the crew hit up the recent Gauntlet re-release and streamed the action on Twitch.tv. The game is developed by Arrowhead Studios (Magicka) and published by Warner Bros and has a decidedly old school feel with many modern gameplay elements. Of course the best part about the game is full four player co-op support, just like the original.
The bank robbing Clown Posse of Payday 2 has mown down entire platoons worth of cops, so they probably don't have too many hangups about knocking a Russian Mobster's teeth out of his head. That particular resilience might come in handy for Payday 2's Hotline Miami DLC, out today for $6.99.
It was a big month for co-op gamers, with Destiny hitting shelves and unleashing its co-op goodness on everyone. The game definitely dominated the news but we saw almost 20 releases this month. Here are some of the games and stories from September 2014 you may have missed.
Who here hasn't tried playing games with their shadow? It never really works like you hope, as that shady jerk always matches your every move. With Shadow Puppeteer, that old sidewalk shadow-stomp game is taken to a completely different (and cooperative) level. In order to survive in the real world, you have to work with your independ...
On a warm September day in Chicago, I was invited to the SteelSeries office to check out their new product lineup for the 2014 holiday. What awaited me were four new Siberia models, each of them completely updated since the days of the v2, and every one ready for my listening pleasure.
With SteelSeries’ massive new lineup of Siberia headsets (see them all), it can be a little challenging to know which pair to choose. Should you go top of the line for the Siberia Elite Prism, or is something a little more modest, like the Siberia RAW Prism better suited to your needs? Lucky for you, I was able to get my hands (and ears) on both the Elite Prism and RAW Prism to test drive them out, and hear everything they bring to the table.
