Beyond Co-Op - February 9th through February 15th, 2014

We've taken a few weeks off, but it's time for another edition of Beyond Co-Op. In this series, we cover gaming news that isn't co-op in nature. Hey, we all play single player and competitive multiplayer games anyway, right? The quiet winter months are... well, honestly, still fairly quiet. But as spring releases are just around the corner, news is ramping up a little bit. Here are the biggest stories in gaming this week.

BROS UNITE

Bro It Up this March as BROFORCE Goes Early Access

Alright, bro! You've been reppin' hard at the gym and now it's time to bring your bulging neck muscles and chainsaw-proof chest hair to the War on Terror. Come this March, you and your squad of beefcake brosephs can lay down some red white and blue 80's action hero justice as BROFORCE hits Early Access on Steam. The only way to deal with international politics is with an M16 and a case of Natty Light.

Collector's Edition is expensive, but a MUST for any die-hard fan.

Two Announced Dark Souls II Editions Available for Preorder This March

Most gamers out there are very much aware of Dark Souls' infamous difficulty, so it's most certainly expected to return full force in its highly anticipated sequel, Dark Souls II. Recently, Namco Bandai of America announced that an early access "Black Armor Weapons Pack" voucher will be included within two different Dark Souls II editions being released: Dark Souls II: Black Armor Edition and Dark Souls II: Collector's Edition, to aid players in the early game.

Evolve's Official Trailer Rocks Pretty Hard

Evolve is the product of our race's greatest desires. For millennia, humanity has gazed up into the vast ocean of stars above us and wondered, "I'll bet there's some real nasty monsters up there, and boy howdy would I like to shoot 'em dead!" This is not because of any xenophobic tendencies our ancestors may have harbored, but because it sounded like a lot of fun to join some friends with a bunch of big ol' guns to tackle something that could swallow a schoolbus.

Probably out on Steam. Probably fun. Definitely ridiculous.

Probably Archery Probably Has Fun Co-Op

There comes a time when you have to fight off a giant pumpkin using only your super accurate hand and finger movements. That time is when you play Probably Archery, and you can do it today. Probably Archery gives players tons of control over the small details and hand movements of using a bow, and places you in ridiculous situations. Shoot a hangman's rope, kill some flying eggs in a china shop, and fight apple-headed warriors... in space!
