On Monday, January 27, the PlayStation Network will be down for six hours while Sony performs maintenance. North America will experience the downtime from 12:30pm to 6:30pm ET and in Europe it will be offline from 5:30pm GMT to 11:30pm GMT.
You know what would make PAYDAY 2 a lot more fun? If you could toss your humble uzi aside and tear through the boys in blue with a plasma cannon. Imagine the mountains of law enforcement officials your clowns could dispatch with crazy future tech at your disposal. And what if we replaced all of the cops with six-armed aliens wielding just as many guns, and instead of a mundane thing like diamonds, our masked anti-heroes are liberating vaults full of alien artifacts! Oh, and instead of a getaway van, you hop into your FTL space ship and blast off to the other side of the galaxy! If only someone would make a game like that..
There's been some weird game trailers lately. In a downright terrifying ad for the Xbox One, we saw a man get real cuts from playing Ryse: Son of Rome, and now it's time to bring abduction onto the field. Call of Duty: Ghosts' new Onslaught DLC has received a trailer titled CODnapped, where Stephen Graham, most recently recognized for his work as Al Capone in HBO's Boardwalk Empire, leads a team of gentlemen who basically will kidnap (or CODnap) you so you have time to play the new DLC.
If you loathe gigantic aliens which strongly resemble larger versions of mundane earth insects, (and also you have a thing against robots), then you'll finally be able to satisfy your thirst for destruction with Earth Defense Force 2025, launching February 18th. Take control of the titular Earth Defense Force and defend humanity against the threat of alien extinction. Grab some friends, load up your cybernetic samurai gear, and prepare to repel the insect/robot alliance.
Some people will always reach the peak, become the best, the pinnacle of what they do, but where is the fun in that? Once you have hit level 100 of Payday 2, what else is there to achieve? Plenty now that the Infamy scale has been added in the latest update.
Yesterday's release of Dead Rising 3's "Operation Broken Eagle" probably left many players wondering why the DLC doesn't support co-op, especially when there was such a large update for the upcoming DLC's. While we would have loved to have the same co-op experience in it as the massive main game, Capcom certainly has their reasons for the decision.
The Call of Duty franchise has always been about embracing ones inner mega-patriot and gunning down anyone from outside the good ol' US of A, and Call of Duty: Ghosts took this concept to its natural conclusion: battling entities from other worlds. There's nothing more quintessentially American than blasting human-devouring aliens with military grade weapons and nationalism so swollen it would make Uncle Sam weep red white and blue tears of joy.

The Xbox Live sales have been improving in recent months as the games get a little older and the Xbox One looks a little newer. However, a great game is a great game. This week you can get 75% off Dark Souls, 67% off Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara and Tales of Vesperia. Oh, and 33% off Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Today, EA released a new pre-order trailer featuring some of the zombie tactics found in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Not only will players be able to choose the Plant team to fight, but also take control of the Zombie team to wreck some havoc of their own.
We last looked at Warframe over the summer during our free to play week on Co-Optimus. The game easily impressed us, feeling like one of the more polished titles available. Since then the game has come a long way. It's seen numerous major patches and also a release on the PlayStation 4.
Do you all remember when Total War: Rome II came out and it was completely jacked up with bugs and required constant weekly patching immediately after release? Yeah, me too. This game is sort of a stain on Total War's otherwise flawless pedigree, and while Creative Assembly is hard at work attempting to fix it, it hasn't come full circle just yet. However, hope glimmers on the horizon. The next patch enables User Modding for Rome II, so if they can't figure out how to make their game good, someone will.
