Over this past weekend we got our hands on the Dark Souls 2 beta and were able to catch a network testing session. Now this isn't your normal preview, because we actually streamed live for a couple hours and we wanted to share the experience with the rest of you that like to suffer as much as us.
While browsing through Gamestop this weekend I picked up the box for the new Pokémon game, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, and noticed that the title listed co-op play for 2 to 4 players on its features list. So I did what any good site owner would do, I bought the game (for science) to determine whether or not we should be covering it.
Nordic Games must really have a thing against the forces of darkness. Painkiller: Hell and Damnation received its sixth DLC, Demonic Vacation at the Blood Sea, available for download on Steam for $6.99. I wouldn't be super into a demonic vacation in general, much less if my day job was murdering thousands of demons with holy-powered weapons and ordained explosives. That image does conjure up some ideas about surfing devils and skeletons in Haiwaiian shirts. Alas, that reality was not to be.
In MMOs, special events (which often happen on dates surrounding real-world holidays) have become a common expectation of players. These events make the MMO virtual worlds feel more dynamic and fresh....
As many of you who played Grand Theft Auto 5’s online mode during the first week of its arrival, problems revolving around lost characters, saves, cloud server errors, and general in-game content were running rampant throughout Rockstar’s servers. Since that time, they’ve been doing their best to recover said content for those of you out there (myself included). To those gamers out there who lost their characters during that time frame, Rockstar confirmed recently that they will not be able to recover them.
In the five years since Grand Theft Auto 4 was released, open-world games have changed quite a bit. Games like Infamous and Saints Row chose to empower the player and make getting from point-to-point easier. Hell, Saints Row took all of the chaotic glee from earlier GTA games and made it the whole point. Grand Theft Auto 5 is grand achievement, alb...
If you thought a DLC announcement for LEGO Marvel Superheroes was enough LEGO action for one day, you were wrong. At New York Comic Con this past weekend, TT Games announced that we would be seeing a demo this week for the upcoming title.
Get your wallets ready, we've got another figure based game out this week to suck you dry. Skylanders: Swap Force is the latest iteration of the game featuring characters that split top and bottom to swap pieces and create new characters. You'll love it. Your kids will love it. Your bank account will hate it. Skylanders: Swap Force...
Deep Silver is almost ready for you to unleash your inner gimp. The first premium DLC for Saints Row IV, Enter the Dominatrix drops on October 22 in the US, and October 23 in the UK. All of the whacky super-powered fun of Saints Row IV that you loved so much now comes in S&M flavor for the low, low price of $7. You and a friend can once more take charge of the "Boss(es)" of the Saints, using your virtual powers to wreck both vehicles and people around town. Would you spend a meager $7 to fly around the city of Steelport in bondage gear and bludgeon prostitutes to death with "The Penetrator"?
There is some DLC coming to LEGO Marvel Superheroes, but the game is not even out yet! Fear not mortals, because this is Asgardian DLC that will release on the same day as the game itself. The pack will feature 8 characters from the upcoming Thor: The Dark World film.
