You've cooked in dilapidated restaurants, you've cooked on top of a hot air balloon, and you've probably cooked on the ice of a frozen lake, but now, you'll be facing Overcooked 2's toughest challenge yet: The Great Outdoors.
It is the season of the loot shooter, or "shlooter" if you won't (please). Destiny 2 is in the midst of its 6th season of content, BioWare's Anthem is still patching and fixing things, and Ubisoft recently released the follow-up to their offering in the genre, Tom Clancy's The Division 2. We've only begun to get into this sequel, but we're enjoying what we've played thus far.
The third and final chapter in the "Chaos" zombies story has arrived. "Ancient Evil" is now available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on the PlayStation 4 (sometime later for Xbox One and PC), provided you've got a Black Ops Pass. You're headed back to ancient Greece, but rather than a colosseum, you'll be exploring the underground city of Delphi and taking on some mythological beasts.
Do you have an awesome graphics card with 8 Gb of VRAM, an extra 40 Gb of space on your hard drive, and are a fan of Monster Hunter: World on the PC? Good news! Next week, Capcom is releasing a high resolution texture pack to make those little dents on your armor a little less blurry!
The original Castle Crashers came out 11 years ago on the Xbox 360 and immediately established itself as a game with strong personality, fun quirks, and challenging but wonderful co-op gameplay. That original game was followed up with a remaster on Xbox One in 2015 and it is that version that is now arriving on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch sometime this year.
At the recent South By Southwest Conference and Festivals (SXSW for short), SEGA had 3 new videos to show off a range of features and goodies for the forthcoming Team Sonic Racing. The first two videos focus on in-game content, including different ways to cosmetically customize your racing vehicle and some deeply catchy remixes. The final video is a bit different as it is the first episode of “Team Sonic Racing: Overdrive,” an animated series set in the same context as the game.
Wondering what kind of mischief and mayhem you and your buddy will be getting into this summer? The folks at KillHouse Games may have an answer; why not bust down doors while also busting criminals? Door Kickers: Action Squad is headed to the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One sometime over the summer.
There have been plenty of new beat-em-ups over the years, and some of them have been quite good. Let's be real, though. Nothing beats the originals (or at least our collective nostalgia for them).
The Co-Opticrew has all kinds of sequels lined up for this weekend. Old sequels, not-so-old sequels, sequels that are practically infants - we've got it all!
To celebrate their 50 years of making video entertainment - first with "amusement machines" in video arcades and later some of our favorite titles on consoles - Konami is releasing three different bundles featuring a selection of games from all those years. Each will be heading to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One (digital downloads only) over the course of the next 6 months. The first one, Konami Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics, arrives April 18.
Nintendo held another of their "Nintendo Directs" yesterday, this time focused on all the independent video games coming to the Switch in the near future. There were a number of new single-player titles they revealed that look interesting, but we're all about the co-op here and one title in particular caught our eye.
With the recent release of Crackdown 3, Crackdown 2 is now Backwards Compatible and has dropped to the always reasonable price of nothing. Crackdown 2 was originally released for Xbox 360, so seeing Microsoft not only expand their current library on the Xbox One, but making sure anyone can play their games is great news for all Xbox users.
