So you're excited about the relatively recently announced 4-player co-op mode of upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition. You're more than ready to burn some demons and stab some trolls, but a question has been haunting you: will your PC be able to run the game? Well, wonder no more. All has been revealed.
Another game will be enjoyed by the staff this weekend, but not one yet for public consumption. We'll be churning through Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in an effort to have a review for you by launch day. So be on the lookout for that. What else are we playing? Well there's still Destiny too.
Another free to play game has launched, and this one seems to be a mess. Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is a take on the classic Counter-Strike game, adding zombies to the mix across 50 maps of play and dozens of modes. Unfortunately my first impressions with the game were poor - a confusing interface, an engine based on Half-Life 1, and poor performance all yielded a sub par result in game play.
Wondering how you and your friends are going to survive the war-torn world of Kyrat in Far Cry 4? Not to worry! Your new best bud Longinus has got the hookup for all the gear you'll need to to bring to the party, if you're gonna rule over this treacherous region. Guns, blades, fire. Pretty much whatever you need to put down paramilitary thugs, Longinus has them.
The surprise sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is on its way in less than two months, so it's time to start loading coal into the hype train's furnace! Crystal Dynamics recently released a video narrated by members of the development team that lays out the basics of action archaeology with friends.
Curious to see how Octodad and Scarlet developed their romance? What about just goofing around with Octodad in new environments? Well, Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be getting some free DLC missions next week in the latest game patch.
I got to see a brief demo of Killing Floor 2 at NYCC. The sequel to the six player co-op game from 2009, Killing Floor, Killing Floor 2 is raising the bar of its predecessor and making it even more about gore and cooperative play.
Almost every year I trek out to New York Comic Con to see what's going on in a world of entertainment I ashamedly don't follow close enough. I absolutely adore the art and style that oozes out of every corner of the show floor. There's a lot to take in at the show and we've got the pictures to prove it.
Geometry Wars is still one of my favorite games of all time, so I'm glad to see the third game has a release date set. Activision have announced that Geometry Wars 3 will be hitting all platforms next month complete with 50 levels of gameplay and several multiplayer modes including co-op.
Skylanders Trap Team is out in the wild and youngsters (and some oldsters) will be putting countless hours/dollars into the game already. Some of the kids in the new trailer have perhaps played too much already as the game starts to talk to them Candid Camera style.
As if this game couldn't get more ridiculous, BROFORCE received a free update on PC to keep Early Access users as satisfied as possible. Titled as the "Tactical Update", players will now have a few new things to bro-out to, such as the new level editor!
I'm a big fan of SHMUPs, especially flashy ones with slick beats. Hangeki scratches my itch in just the right places. What is it? Think of it as a cross between a typical SHMUP, Space Invaders and a splash of Arknoid.
