In case you haven't heard, Dead Space 3 launched on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC today. You know what that means? Obligatory launch day DLC announcements! Isaac Clarke is using the buddy system in his latest foray into survival horror, bringing a hardened soldier, John Carver, along for the ride. The frozen planet of Tau Volantis may hold secrets of the Necromorph menace and a host of other dangers, but the story doesn't end there.
Dead Island has sold 5,000,000 copies. By my math that's like, a gillion double-dead zombies. I don't know how many severed limbs that would be. All of them? Obviously Deep Silver is very pleased so much so that they sent out a press release patting themselves on the back. I would too. Dead Island is a damn fine cooperative zombie survival game. It earned our Editor's Choice award in our Co-Op Review.

The Serious One is back in Serious Sam Double D XXL. The side-scrolling shooter will be coming to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace later this month. This gun-stacking, monster-blasting, run-and-gun, 2D adventure may look familiar, and it should. It's like last year's Serious Sam Double D on PC, only this time it's on the XBLA, there's co-op, three new letters in the title, and a whole lot more.

The game is currently in beta format (you can join it by going here), but there’s still plenty of awesome changes going on behind the scenes that gamers ought to see, like kickass ninja moves.
These days, Capcom seems to be doing a lot more work to mend their much wounded relationship with their customer base. I never had an Amiga back in the days of classic console gaming. All of my 16-bit gaming needs were fulfilled by the SNES. Nevertheless, I still heard of this game called Alien Breed from a friend back when I lived in TX. I then moved away and never heard or saw it again...
Defiance is being billed as a "transmedia" experience, putting players in a video game world that shares experiences with a TV show of the same name. We're promised that events in either will affect the other, which if pulled off- would do something we've never really seen before.
