Continuing the monster hunting trend

New Video for Vita Game Toukiden

There seems to be a trend these days in the handheld scene. It involves teaming up with buddies to take down large monsters in epic fashion. With the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate coming next month, and Soul Sacrifice not long after, the tradition is running strong. I'm not complaining, it means more cooperative action for fans of the genre to be a part of.

Co-Op Release Alert for the Week of 2.18.2013

This week there's not a lot happening with co-op games. The Serious Sam franchise gets the side scrolling treatment, and the PC gets a game that came out a month ago on consoles, but that's about it. There are some big games coming out, but unfortunately for us, they neglect our favorite gaming feature.

New Soul Sacrifice Trailer Shows Off Gameplay

Soul Sacrifice, the game where you can hurt you friends - but in a cooperative way! - is a pretty highly anticipated Playstation Vita game this year. With a unique premise (you can either choose to save or sacrifice defeated enemies or even allies), plenty of mythological lore, and a dark, gritty feeling to it, it's not difficult to see why many Vita owners are looking forward to this 4-player co-operative title.

Indie Strategy Game McDROID Launches with Co-Op Play

New from indie studio Elefantopia, McDROID is a sci-fi arcade game fused with real-time strategy elements that sports both single player and co-op play. Way out in the unexplored edges of space, McDROID's shuttle collides with some debris and crashes on an uncharted planet. The surface is infested with monsters, of course, so McDROID has to fight for survival while gathering materials to repair the ship, heal the planet, and figure out what sort of conspiracy is brewing beneath the surface.

Bungie's Destiny is Unveiled

Many wondered what would be next for Bungie after the Halo franchise and after leaving Microsoft.  It wasn't long before the company signed a publishing agreement with Activision for 10 years and promised to bring a big idea not only to the Xbox, but Sony's PlayStation 3.  Today Bungie has officially unveiled Destiny, not a game, but a franchise that will span those 10 years exclusively for consoles, both current and next-gen.
