The folks at RockPaperShotgun recently posted a stirring post-mortem with Mark Venturelli and Gabriel Texeira of Critical Games, the studio behind DungeonLand. It's a surprisingly meaningful tale that, with the right spin, could be a movie of the week: deep in the heart of Brazil, a group of freelance illustrators band together with the stubborn goal of making a video game. The odds are stacked against them in a country sparse with indie game creators. But they fight, they persevere, and they emerge on the other side with the shining gem that is DungeonLand.
There is a bit of a problem regarding save data for Aliens: Colonial Marines. The problem in question is a nasty bug that is completely wiping out save files for the Xbox 360 version of the game. Well take that sour flavor out of your mouth and listen to this for something sweet; the Rayman Legends 5 player co-op Online Challenge Mode will be released free on Wii U from April.
When Electronic Arts named their series Army of Two, they weren’t kidding around! The special mechanic in their upcoming title, Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, called “Overkill” can turn the tide of battle and put the hurt on enemies quicker than you can say “Gunzerker”.
There’s never been a better time to be a fan of the younger Mario brother. Recently, Nintendo had announced 2013 to be the “Year of Luigi”, revealing Luigi’s next big break into the limelight with Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be launching on the the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS in just a few short weeks. You'll have a chance to play it even sooner when the demo drops this Thursday, February 21st. If you're unfamiliar with the Monster Hunter series, I'll offer you this quick crash course: You hunt monsters. Hooray! There's more to it than that, of course, but you basically join with some friends and then battle huge beasts. Once you've claimed victory you can strip their carcasses for raw materials (the monsters, not your friends) which you can then use to craft better armor and gear.
